Guillermo Bonnin

About me

My name is Guillermo Bonnín, and I'm a manga letterer.

I've been reading manga for as long as I can remember, since the shelves in my house were always filled with comics and within reach. As a kid, when I first started using computers and browsing the internet, I would translate my favorite manga from English and edit them using Paint (with Comic Sans, sorry not sorry, beginnings are tough). Later on, I came across Espai Daruma's courses and realized that what I was doing as a child could actually become my job. Without a second thought, I signed up.

I began working with Drac Studio, and now, with 4 years of experience in the industry, I’ve had the chance to work with publishers like Norma, Odaiba Ediciones, ECC... Once I dove into the world of publishing, I decided to start learning web development and trained as a Full Stack developer (I’m always on the move), constantly exploring new areas and learning things that complement my work.

My main goal as a letterer is to make reading smooth and natural for Western audiences, without losing sight of the author’s original essence and vision. I love working on horror manga, but I actually adapt to any genre, since what I enjoy the most is keeping the personality of each work intact while making it accessible for readers.

If you’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented letterer who’s always up for new projects and challenges, feel free to reach out. I’m always open to opportunities and love learning something new along the way.
